(Description below will explain a lot regarding this particular thing and my nuz in general, so I recommend to take a look at it)

So these events were indeed linked to something that happened in-game with the two Beauty girls (and I tried my best to not spoil anything and I was just kinda sneaky with it...agh). I definitely didn't let him faint on purpose to force drama on anyone, this is what happened in-game:

>Encountered the two beauties, didn't remember they would battle at the same time
>Had Ellis and Marble up front, okay, their pokémon level 16, mine were level 25 - no problem, I thought
>Tried to attack Clefable with Marble, missed, Ellis takes down the Wigglytuff
>Clefable uses metronome, Metronome turns into Self-Destruct
>Marble fainted OHKO and Ellis health went somewhere in the low yellow. (Switched to Nana and Choco to finish the other pair or Clefable/wigglytuff)
>Arrived Ecruteak very upset and said goodbye to Marble at the PC there.

Marble was also Mild nature so it wasn't exactly helping at all. If i could change one thing I would have had Nana up instead of Marble because she had double kick, but well, obviously I didn't expect this to happen so there was nothing I could do anymore at this point.

So, my goal regarding the comic was that I will retell my playthrough by not changing the core of the way important stuff happen, like deaths (sentret in the beginning doesn't count, it wasn't important). Honestly, if I were to change this into something completely different from my game, I should just ditch my game notes and make an original non-nuz comic. But without the game this comic wouldn't even exist and this is what the game gave me, unfortunately, so I had to make it work somehow.

The main in-game stuff that I wanted is here, Clefable exploding (or just my interpretation of Self-Destruct... I tried to make it look a bit "prettier" explosion), same area, Marble and Ellis being there. Everything else is just me trying to make this fit into the story and not completely off the style I've set for this comic. It felt like a death, so death will it be, still. I wasn't able to make this happen in a normal battle the way I wanted, I mean, first I was going to make these beauties total bitches to be blamed afterwards, but I didn't want that. I'm sure there's plenty of things to nitpick about this whole thing but I'm not planning on changing anything about the way I handled it, I'm happy if I understand what is going on myself. So, I kindly ask not to.

We will find out how this will all affect on everybody that were part of this eventually and why they acted this way. Marble decided gather all of his focus on the target to deliver a perfect hit on the grunt's hand, when usually his aim has been kinda bad. Also the dumbest guy did take a big hit but the shovel guy was quick to get themselves out of there.

The story will return to it's happier tone pretty soon, so this won't be a permanent moodset obviously. I'm excited for what is to come in the future. I only had few deaths in all in my game, and this was the most important one, so I'm relieved to have it off of my mind now.
